Q: When I try to install Giants On a system running OS 10.1.1, nothing happens. How do I install Giants: Citizen Kabuto?
A: Due to changes made in OS X 10.1.1, the Giants installer does not work as designed. To install Giants: Citizen Kabuto on a machine running 10.1.1, please follow these steps.

Download the file "giants-untar.sit" from the Downloads section of the MacPlay website.
Use StuffIt expander to decompress the file "giants-untar.scr". (StuffIt Expander is available free from Aladdin Systems at www.stuffit.com/expander/macupdates.html)
Create a new folder labeled "Giants" on the hard drive where you want to install Giants: Citizen Kabuto
Open the "Giants" folder.
Copy the file "giants-untar.scr" into the "Giants" folder.
Insert Giants Disk 1.
Scroll the window down past the Giants Picture until you can see the six icons:
Install Giants Disk 1
Giants.app.tar
Giants Game Manual.pdf
StreamEnglish

Bin

Copy the following files and folders to the "Giants" folder on the hard drive:
Giants.app.tar
Giants Game Manual.pdf
StreamEnglish
Bin

Eject Giants Disk 1 and insert Giants Disk 2.
Scroll the window down past the Giants: Citizen Kabuto picture until you can see the four icons:
Install Giants Disk 2

Copy the following folders to the "Giants" folder on the hard drive:
Music
Stream

Open the "Terminal" program. (This program is in the "Utilities" folder inside the "Applications" folder on the system drive.)
If the Giants folder was created on the system drive, in the terminal window, type "cd /Giants/", excluding quotes. Press 'Return'. 
-or-
If Giants is installed on another hard drive, where 'drivename' is the exact name of the hard drive that Giants is installed on, type "cd Volumes/drivename/Giants/" excluding the quotation marks*. Press 'Return'.
Type "./giants-untar.scr" excluding the quotation marks. Press the 'Return' key. The script will execute. Extract the files, displaying multiple lines of text.
When the line "Successfully extracted all the files required by Giants.", the extraction is finished, and the terminal window can be closed. Giants: Citizen Kabuto is now fully installed and may be played by double clicking on the "Giants" icon in the "Giants" folder.
* If the drive name includes any spaces or special characters (such as: \,|,<,>,*,!,?,{,},) in it, such as "This Mac Drive" you will need to place a '\' before each space or special character. Thus, if Giants is installed on a drive labeled "This Mac Drive", you will need to type "cd Volumes/This\ Mac\ Drive/Giants/Bin/", excluding the quotation marks.
